This happy chameleon color changing enamel pin features a fascinating effect where the green color of the chameleon will shift to a bright red when the temperature shifts. Chameleons have an interesting ability to shift colors, similar to this enamel pin. This pin has a special color changing feature that uses a thermal oil to shift the main body color of the chameleon from a yellow green to a bright red when the pin is cold. This pin is set as a soft enamel pin with a polished black nickel metal base. It measures 1.5" and has two posts on the back.

NOTE: Color changing pins have a lifespan of 2-5 years, depending on the environment that they are kept in. The color changing element of the pin will last longer if the pin is kept in an environment that is away from direct sunlight and does not experience frequent shifts in temperatures.

I've ordered the color changing octopus from here as well as the chameleon and both are absolutely perfect. Not to mention the extra, equal quality pins I received with them. Absolutely recommend buying, and will be doing so again myself.

This is probably the coolest pin i've ever...

This is probably the coolest pin i've ever seen… I don't really care for pins much but I bought this for my friend for her birthday and after seeing it change colors I kept it for myself LOL! Will have to buy another one for her.

If you're debating between the getting locking pin mechanism or the regular pin back, just stop and get the locking pin. If you're anything like me I lose my pins all the time because those normal pin backs are just not secure! The locking pin was worth the extra few bucks because now I know I won't lose my pins.
